Fernando Arciniega and Brandon del Toro in PRODU coverage

Fernando Arciniega, founder and executive director, and Brandon del Toro, director of operations, shared details of IAFFM's fifth edition and its positioning strategy in Miami.

According to the interview, the festival planned to take place between November 8 and 13 at Silverspot Downtown Miami, with Argentina as guest country and a stronger industry focus.

The edition announced a slate of around 70 titles spanning shorts, documentaries, fiction and animation, with expected attendance between 8,000 and 10,000 people.

Arciniega explained that the team was building workshops and broader producer participation in collaboration with organizations from Mexico, Colombia and Argentina.

He also emphasized that Miami functions as a strategic bridge for Spain, Portugal, Latin America and the U.S. market, and that the goal was to build an East Coast Spanish-language festival and market platform with long-term growth.
